question about running components and sub with one 4ch amp

I am thinking about running an Image dynamics CSX 2ohm component system and one 4 Ohm 10" Subwoofer.

I am looking at the Hifonics HFi100.4 Amp.

Question is can I run the 2ohm components and the 4ohm sub all on this one amp. Could I just bridge the 3 and 4channels to run the sub?

Here are the specs on the amp:

HFi Series 4-Channel Class A/B Car Amplifier

RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 100 watts x 4 chan.

2 ohms: 200 watts x 4 chan.

Bridged, 4 ohms: 400 watts x 2 chan.

Max power output: 800 watts

Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) MOSFET power supply

LED power (blue) and protect (red) indicators

Variable Bass Boost (0 to +12 dB bass boost at 45 Hz)

Blue illuminated Hifonics badge

Soft start sound function

4/3/2 channel operation

Preamp RCA outputs to daisy chain multiple amps

4-Way System Protection circuitry (thermal, overload, DC, and speaker short protection)

Tri-mode speaker operation

Heavy duty aluminum alloy vented heatsink for maximum heat dissipation

Silver nickle-plated RCA level inputs

Silver nickle-plated screw terminals

Input sensitivity:

Variable level: 200mV-6V

Variable high-pass filter (60-12,000 Hz, 12 dB/octave)

Variable low-pass filter (30-250 Hz, 12 dB/octave)

Damping factor: >180

Frequency response: 30-12,000 Hz

yes you can. I wouldn't be surpised if your amp gets really hot after running it loud for 10min or so. Not just that amp, my experience with 4ch amps is they all get hot. never had one shut off on me though.

The plan is fine. But with speakers of that caliber I would prefer a higher quality amp.

With all channels at min impedance I wouldn't be surprised if you have thermal issues running at high volume for extended periods of time.

If you bridge two of the channels for the sub, does that change the ohm's?
Thanks!
I really don't know what caused the confusion about this in the last few years. I guess it comes from people pointing out that bridging an amp into 4 ohms gets you the same power as running it at 2 ohms stereo.

But no.

How could something like that just change??

You have an amp -- it's minimum stable impedance in stereo is 2 ohms. Mininum stable bridged impedance is 4.

How is that confusing?
