What is the ideal amp for 2 kicker CVX 12" dual 2 ohm subs. (not a kicker amp)

Depends. You can run them at .5 ohm (not suggested unless you have good electrical) or 2 ohm. They are rated at 1000 rms I believe.

Any amp that does true 1500 watts @ 2 ohm or .5 ohm will work. You could buy two amps but that is a kind of a messy job for that low of RMS.

OP, if at all possible, return the subs and pick up the 4 ohm dvc model instead. That would most likely save you some cash in the long run...
