Question about RMS power to comps

Ok i have an amp (Crossfire) That will be putting out 200 x 2 to a set of 5.6 comps. Since the tweeter and the mid both go into the x-over does that mean the tweet will get 100 rms and the mid will get 100 rms? I am thinking about getting Diamond D6's but they are 100 RMS, does that mean the mid is 100 rms and the tweet is 100 rms also?

Please help a guy out that has been out of the audio game for a while and has forgotten everything.

The 100w RMS rating is per side ( a side comprising of one midwoofer, one tweeter, and one passive crossover)

The actual power levels sent to each driver will be dictated by the construction of the crossover.

If you are mindful of the gain settings on that Crossfire amp it should serve well, though. Headroom is never a bad thing - it allows the amp not to work as hard and as a result last longer. You do not have to use all an amp is capable of for it to serve you well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
