Question about resistance

If I have a choice of two amps, both give 500 watts, but one gives that power at 1 ohm and the other gives it at 4 ohm, is there any difference??

Like, does the one w/ lower resistance stress the alternator more, or anything like that??

The lower ohm level could cause more current draw, it depends on how effecient the amp is.
