question about rear stage going flat...

i have a set of BA pro 50's in the rear and a set of z6's in the front, when im playing anything at a high volume the rear stages dynamics seem to cut out and the tone just goes flat, and they sound way muffled for a period of a minute or so, and then they are fine, but they do it all the time...all of the wiring seems to be fine, ive even re-wired, not sure what to look at next...any help?

My Jl Xr's liked to do that before i set my gains correctly. I think I was sending them too much power and the crossovers were overheating. Try turning your gains down a bit and see if that helps?

im pretty sure my gains are set about as correct as i can get them, im only sending them just over 200 watts and i beieve they are slated to take upto 400 or 450 watts, of course thats just what they can handle max, but im way below that now, and ive tweaked the heck out of the settings...
