Question About RCA Wiring for a Bridged 4-Channel Amp

Hey guys, this might sound like a dumb question but this is my first car audio install, so I'm a bit stumped. My set up is going to be like this:

Alpine CDE-141 head unit with two sets of preouts

Alpine MRP-F300 4 channel amp (bridged)

Kicker ZX300.1 mono amp

A set of Alpine Type R component speakers for the front (powered by bridged MRP-F300)

and 2 12" Kicker comp subs (powered by ZX300.1)

Maybe I'm just retarded, but the Alpine mrp-f300 manual left a bit to be desired, so I'm wondering how to run the RCA wires. Would it be right to run one set of the preouts (the front one) on the HU to the bridged 4 channel amp? I've read in some places to use a Y-splitter, other places say you don't have to. The manual (sorry I can't post a link, it's on page 13 though) shows using a set of preouts and then 2 pairs of Y splitters to the inputs on a bridged amp. But then they go on to show using only the left channel of a pair of outputs and then a Y-splitter, which doesn't make any sense to me. They also say under note 3 on that same page that a Y-splitter isn't needed if you use both channels of an output, soooo wtf?

Nvm, think I found it. I'm probably just over thinking things. All I need is one set of RCAs. Using the front set of preouts on the HU, then plugging them into front left and front right (channel 1 and 2) on the amp should get me where I want. Main reason I was concerned was the HU only has 2 preouts, so I didn't want to have to use both of them on the 4 channel amp.
