Question about powercaps...please no flaming

Okay, so i have my system in a temporary afro-engineered wiring setup to test and make sure my car can handle the amp and stuff. Well it seems that yes, the factory charging system is up to par. Okay, so this week im going to try to finalize my wiring, which would include putting in my distro block, doing the big 3 (well at least the grounds), and adding my powercap (freebie). My question is, will the powercap do much for my system? My lights dont dim, but it seems as though when i turn it up, the bass from guitars and such overpower the drum kicks, and it sounds different from when at a lower volume. Will my cap help with this? or is my time better spent doing other things that are free as well..?

i dont think the cap is going to help at all.

sounds more like a gain and/or equalization problem.

If your lights are no dimming then dont waste your time installing the cap.

would you like to see just how ghetto my wiring is right now? keep in mind i did it at 9 PM in the dark with no light, and no stores open to get the right supplies....
