Question about piercings, anyone a professional body piercer?

Whether or not a piercincg will grow back and close is largely dependant on the person being pierced.

Healthy elastic skin will repair pretty fast. If you are a smoker, just expect to have a hole in your ear for the rest of your life.

I had mine pierced at 12 originally. They closed up on me so i had them repierced at 8 guage and the dude put a 6 guage taper right behind the needle. Made it hell of a lot easier because you already have pain, so nothing over the top.

I haven't worn any CBR's in along time so they have pretty much closed up. I can still manage a 10 or 12 guage, but with nothing in the hole is barely noticeable.

Oh...and CBR = Captive Ball Ring. The ball can be a ***** to get in and out but you don't have to worry about them falling out on you.

silly me i've always called them captive bead rings. and that's why you buy a pair of earing openers, they're like reverse pliars. so when you want to take it out, the ball comes out very easily, and you can just use pliars to close them tight again
