2 fi btl's vs 4 mj's

currently i have 4 mach audio mj 18s in my truck powered by a kicker 2500.1 and im lookin to get alot louder im thinkin about just gettting 2 18's like btl fully loaded or mt's somewhere in that area ran off around 4000 5000 watts would it be louader than my mj's if i went that route

well, your losing half of your surface area while gaining double the power. lol. i want to say the btls will be louder. but thats just an opinion.

i would go with the btl's. im kinda new to the car audio scene but i only heard good things about btl's. i have two 15" mts ran by two orion 2500ds and they are pretty loud

Well, not only will the BTL's bang but you can get a subwoofer equal to the BTL that's a little cheaper... The Omega 18"

theoretically the MJ's have more cone area but theres other factors invovled but most likely theyll sound louder to your ear
