Question about OEM seperates

How do manufactures usually handle seperates? Is there an actual crossover network, or just caps on the speakers. I have an 08 Titan with seperates and am curious if the 6.5's in the door will receive full range or a bandpass. If there is a xover somewhere, where is it?
