I've got an Alpine 5 channel amp that I've bridged all 4 channels to my Crystal SSCS6 components up front, giving them 200W RMS each. The Crystals are rated at 100W RMS continuous power, and 200W max power.

Obviously, I can barely turn the gains up on my amp at all with the Crystals, or I get that fabulous 'clipping' sound. I've been thinking about un-bridging the amp so that channels 1 & 2 will be giving the Crystals 100W RMS a side, as recommended in the specs.

Would less power to the components equal greater sound quality/clarity, or would I be best off just leaving it as is bridged?
