Question about head units

Hey guys, this is my first post on here. I've been browsing lately because I would really like to get an in-dash head unit. I was looking at units and most say they will fit my volvo (yes i have a volvo until I get my 85 camaro) with modification.

Its a 2000 Volvo V70XC

On crutchfield, it says I must modify my dash...

"Dash cavity must be notched in order to secure the receiver."

what would I have to do to make a unit fit?

Ill be moving this unit into my 85 camaro when I buy it, so I'm also looking for new speakers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

dont trust crutchfield. go online and look for a dash kit for your car.
