Question about fiberglass

Hey guys, just a quick question about glass, I am turning my box around and want to glass it into my cab, I already have the seats pulled so I got metal from the car, and wood from the box.

When applying the fiberglass, does the resin make it bond to the other materials very well, or do I have to screw the sheet in, and then resin over it? Just wondering how you guys that have done it, generally make it work. Thanks for the help.

apply a thin coat of resin and then start applying the chopped mat. The base coat of resin will help it stick as you achieve complete wet out. I suggest using a bristle brush cut down to about 1" bristles. Dip the brush in the resin and jab at the mat with the brush and get the resin to fully penetrate and wet it out completely. Watch for air bubbles...they will compromise strength.

p.s. - Don't just lay down a layer of the mat. You have to rip it up in small sections. These intertwining sections of chopped mat provides the structural integrity.

wow.. lot of information there, not so easy to find info I was looking for though... you may as well have said why dont you look on the world wide web for the answer. Good info if I wanted to get lost for hours though, just looking for short answers like what Cat hooked me up with thx
