Hey guys,
I currently have a slot ported 7.6 cuft box (internal after all displacement) for two SI MAG 15's. Its tuned at 40hz. It's the biggest box I could fit into my car with the available space I had. It sits 2 inches behind the front seats in my '98 TransAm.
I have 1/0 for the Big 3, Irragi 260amp alternator, Kinetik 1800 up front. I'm running two JL 1000/1 amplifiers for the subs, one to each.
I've hit a consistent high of 148.3 on the new termlab at 47hz. Is there anything I can do with my CURRENT setup by modifying the box to increase my spl score? Right now its still fairly musical. It has a 120sq inch vent 13.75" long.
I was thinking about shortening the vent length to 4.25" having it tuned to around 50.... should peak output at around 56hz i think.
any spl gurus got some advice for me OTHER THAN GET NEW AMPS, or YOU NEED MORE POWER....or CHANGE SUBS.....? using my CURRENT SETUP.
GOAL: 151 on the termlab with my current subs and amps without having it ONLY be a "one note wonder".
THANKS GUYS!
