Question about eq's

I just purchased a 30 band parametric eq, and planning on getting the pioneer ts-c720prs. My question is considering the eq, should I go with the active crossovers, or just use the pioneer passives?

which eq? and what xover unit or HU do you have?

I'll always recommend active over passive, but If you don't know what you're doing, passive would be the better route.

Nobody makes a 30-band parametric EQ. You bought a graphic EQ, not parametric.
If you have enough amplifier channels to do it, go active.

passive just deals with the x-over points, and not mess with EQ settings.

Yeah, my mistake it's a kicker kq30 30 band eq. So active crossovers would be the way to go then?

Whichever you're comfortable doing will be fine. You can't use HU crossovers though. The only options you have for going active with that EQ are an outboard dedicated crossover or crossovers built into your amps or a combination of the two.

Well, everyone that has the pio ts-c720prs say the tweets are harsh, so hopefully just using the passives and this eq will help adjust the tweeter.
