Question about draw on batteries...

Im running a Kicker Zx2500 and Kinetik hc2400.

But Im running it at ~1250RMS @ 4 ohms.

If I was to run it at ~2000RMS @ 2 ohms, would it have the same draw on my electrical system? Or more or less because 2000RMS @ 2 ohms would need to put out 63 volts on the output on the amp, and 1250RMS @ 4 ohms would need to put out 70 volts on the output on on the amp.

So 70 volts > 63 volts, meaning 2000RMS @ 2 ohms is easier on my electrical system than 1250RMS @ 4 ohms?

Correct?

Thank you...

power is made up of 2 parts..Current and Voltage. Wattage = Current x Volts. For more power your Current will increase

the lower the ohm load the harder on the electrical too i was told and the more power means more current so harder on electrical but with a hc2400 in the back with a good run of 1/0 or maybe even 2 runs if you have the cash or have voltage problems, and big 3 you should be good to go, if not replace the front battery with big as possible

what size alt do you have

130A I think.. stock size for 1995 mustang.

The kinetik hc2400 doesnt seem all that effective.

When Im reving above 1200 RPM, the voltage rarely drops, but if Im below 1200 RPM, depending on the song, the voltage drops pretty quick.

lil jon - da blow will lower the voltage very quickly.

And when I wake up in the morning, go to my car, start it up, the voltage is very high. (I guess whatever its supposed to be) Then when I play some music, 1 minute later the voltage stays down at its highest.

(This is running 1250 RMS @ 4 ohm...), No big 3.

Big 3 is a must reguardless of what battery you use with that power. If you have an aftermarket alt might want to check if your pulley is right. If its stock do the Big 3 and look into one of the MLA modules and see if they make one for your vehicle
