Question about differences between 2 box's volume

I m new to box building.. so here is a question I got about box's volumes..

Let's say I got 2 different designs(both ported), one of them is 7 cu. ft. @ 32hz and another one is like 5 cu. ft. @ 32hz..

what is the difference in outcome between those 2 different boxes?

The bigger volume(7 cu. ft.) has more space for the airflow.. meaning= the bass will be deeper and stuff like that?

I m still learning so I want to find out for sure..

I m planning on building a box tomorrow.. Answers would be appreciated.. Thanks

The larger enclosure will have more gain around tuning and will give a little bit better lower end. It will also have worse transient response, worse group delay, and worse upper frequency extension. A lot of these factors and how much they will change things will be greatly dependent on the sub.

I personally like the smaller boxes IF you have the wattage to drive them. The bigger box will take less power to get the subs to full excursion. go smaller for daily.

what size, how many?

So which box would be considered as a better option?
I have a design for 7 cu. ft. and I m not sure if I want to do it..
I can't say what is a better option for you. I don't know what sound you like and what you're looking for. I listed the changes in performance and you should be able to go from there.
