Ok i got a 2003 taurus sedan right now. ive got a idmax 12 in a 2.5 cubes enclosure. what i am trying to figure out is this. i am gonna be buying a 18" tc-5200 within the next couple of months. what i need to know is can i get 5 cubes out of my trunk? also if i do this i will have the sub up port back, will this work. i am trying to get the most spl possible!! I have a 2001 taurus [same style as yours] and theh book specs SAY 10.2 cubes. however, with actual working area and the w the trunlk closes i would say closer to 6-8 cubes of workable area. I have a 4 cube enclosure for my 2 12's with a considerable amount of cargo room left. so you should be fine on space. However, as far as how it will sound with that design, i don't know.

Dont do sub up port back in a trunk car, its just not worth it, downgrade to a 15 and fire it rearward or if your seats fold, forward with the trunk sealed from the cabin...
