Question About Circuit City / Best Buy Installs

Hey guys! What's going on? I was just wondering if anyone knows if the stores like Circuit City or Best Buy just run the wires, mount, and connect an amp and sub, or do they actually set gains correctly and all? Thanks.

Depends where you go.

Some of our guys (CC) set gains at around 3/4 and bass bost right around there as well...and cross the woofers over rather high (125hz).

don't let that limit you though, there are 'some' that do great work

it really depends on the installer. if you want someone to do a good job ask for the most experianced installer. and be like hey dude your cool and slip him a 5 and he will do awesome work. but it depends on the BB or CC you go to.

just like everyone else says... it depends.

WHen I was at bestbuy some of our guys would send it out the door as it was out of the box...

I'd try and set it to the best of my ability but alot of guys would just send it out the door.

Well unfortunately I had to go to CC to get my stuff installed today...

I really wanted to do it myself, but I just could not figure it all out and my SC2 wasn't behaving...

Anyway, the guys there were giving me sh*t just being stupid about installing and all... But in the end, as far as it looks and sounds, everythign seems good.
