i just bought and installed a cap. and i noticed the way u hook it up it stays on 24/7 i was wondering if everyones was like this or u have a way to turn it off like a toggle? anyway i was wondering if it would run down my battery thanks

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS UNLESS YOUR ON THE SAME SUBJECT AS ABOVE

Proper steps to using a capacitor:

1. Take fuse out of holder

2. Wire up the cap

3. Charge the cap using a resistor instead of putting the fuse back in

4. Unwire the cap

5. Discharge on your nipples.

And no, it won't adversely affect your batt.

ya i think thats it , only one in this town.... walmart $85 had to buy it in a amp wiring kit... i know i still need to run the heavier duty wire that came with it but im not in a hurry to do it the wire im running is good for now.

LOL, the cap will ROB more power from your battery than normal if you only have a stock battery. Please keep in mind that all a cap does is take from your battery, it DOES NOT recharge it in any manner whatsoever.

You just wasted your cash man should just either return it or sell it a cap does not do a **** thing. your better off with the big 3 , H/o alternator or a 2nd battery:) FTW.

to all u jerks who said it doesnt do anything or return it buzz off

the cap has increased the the power to the amp its almost as if i was running alot higher wattage

i will be upgradeing my power wire within the next 2 months

i will be adding a 2nd alternator sooner or later and a 2nd battery

i will probably upgrade to a yellow top before i do the alternator and battery

am i the only one who finds it funny that, being the original poster he is advising himself on what to do? I mean, he posts wondering what a cap does then all of the sudden starts loving the cap that he has no idea about? Am i the only one who is confused? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
