Hello,

I've never been in Bass Race event. I read rules but still didn't get it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ok there is classes 119.99 and under, 120.00-129.99dB, 130.00-139.99dB, 140.00-149.99dB, etc.

Let's say my subs can reach 146dB with music.

But with these subs I can go for example to 120.00-129.99dB class. I just don't need to use full gain in Bass Race qualification.

So what is the point of this event?

If I'll go to 120.00-129.99dB class so I need to be as close as I can to 129.99dB right?

But if my system can easily play music @ 146dB, so It should be very easy to be close to 129.99dB.

I don't get what is point of this event.

Please explain me about Bass Race //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks.

bass race is a 30 second average on music, not tones. you have to find a song that will do good in your car and be able to control it. you are right that you want to end @ a .99 in your class, but it's not as easy as it sounds. if you know someone w/ a termlab, see if they will let you try bass race and see what you can do.

if ur system can burp a 146 u can easily compete in the 139.9 class bass race is a a averaged score which means it takes DB score over a 30sec period... a nice lil cheat way to start is to start playing music when the screen says SET not when it says GO this will boost ur score alot on the start off

Its all about knowing your system...yeh you can run any class you want.

If he can burp 146, than theres no reason to start before the clock....i think u get a redlight if you do.....just start at lower volume and keep turning it up til u get closest to 139.9 towards the end of the run

Bassrace can be very tricky, don't assume that since your setup can hit 146 that you can do 129.9 or 139.9 with ease.

Since its a 30 second average, you'll want a song that has fairly consistent bass over the entire 30 second period so you can control your score better.

You go head-to-head against another competitor in elimination rounds, the person with the highest score in their class (closest to 129.9 in 120-129.9 without "breaking out", i.e. hitting 130.0) moves on through the rounds. If you go over the high score in your class (hitting 130.0 in 129.9 for instance) in elimiation rounds, you automatically are eliminated so long as the other person doesn't break out as well.

Don't let the low scores fool you, bassrace is very hard and takes a lot of practice to get good at.
