question about backup battery

I want to have a battery backup for my alarm, do they make smaller 12 volt batteries? or is it only the usual size? i'm trying to avoid excesive weight. thanks

You can get a smaller battery but it'll still be 12v... They have battery packs made specifically for alarm backups...

Best Buy sells them, any place that carries alarms should have them, they're like 25 bucks... ebay it.
