question about an AvicD3

I have a simple question about a Pioneer AvicD3. Will a Terk universal XMD-1000 XM radio work with this? I know it doesn't have the XM Traffic updates but I'm upgrading and already have this radio. I'm just wondering if it will plug into the Pioneer with a Pioneer cable?

IIRC you need the pioneer kit, its the only thing that works, I have the D3 in my dad's truck

I have a TERK tuner hooked up through a Pioneer Terk adapter on my D3 it works fine.....

This is the adapter you'll need..... TERK XMDPIO 110 ...you'll use your TERK brain and antenna... your XM display will show on the Pioneer screen.....I found them as low as $1.59 BNIB on ebay plus shipping
