question about amps

Ok I have a question about amps when say for instance when somebody say 1800watts x 1 Bridges output, do that mean two speakers or one? Because I'm trying to get me a amp that will make my pair of audiobahn aw1006t pound. And can bridge make it pound the hardest?

Do you want to bridge a 2 channel amp? If so, it will be one channel running at 4 ohms and producing 1800 watts. Because your subs are DVC 4 ohms, you can wire to 4 ohms and it would work http://http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html?subs=2&impedance=DVC4x2 and each sub will get 900 watts, if thats the rms wattage on the amp.

that or get a mono amp that does 1800 watts rms at 1 ohm since 2 dvc 4 ohm woofers can be wired for 1 ohm. easier and cheaper to find a mono amp to do 1800 x1 @ 1 ohm, then a 2 channel that does 1800 bridged

Copper? Is that the speaker wire? Whatz the gauge on them? I need to find a cheap amp that will do what iceteebone is talking about.

it's prolly 12 gauge to 14 gauge speaker wire.
