question about amps (total mobile audio)

I have done a little research on the company and the amps, my question is i have a 10w7(sealed) and a 12w6v2(ported) the amp i have is an old school Memphis 1000.1 i was told by a local audio shop that if i were to go with the 10w7 that i would have to switch out my amp. because it could not be wired to push the 10w7 effectively , but it is a perfect amp for the 12w6v2. first off how true is that? and second if that is the case i was looking @ the total mobile audio t500.1would that be good enough to push the 10w7? if so i would just get purchase a ported box for the w7. car is a Nissan armada head unit is kenwood ddx6019.

TMA makes a solid amp, but the 500.1 IMO would work but not anywhere near optimum for the 10W7. It'd be a lot better suited to the 12W6 and I also believe you'd get more output from the 12W6 than the 10W7 with 500W.
