Question about AMPing speakers

My hu is a kenwood x692. My amp is mtx 1004 (its a 4 channel amp). My speakers are a set of PG RSD65CS.

I want to amp these speakers using my mtx amp. Would it be as simple as using the preouts on my hu to the input of my amp. From there connecting my speakers to the amp? I know it involves tuning the amp and hu but i don't think that'll be too hard.

Suggestions and advice would be good! Thanks

It is just like wireing a sub amp.

rca's from headunit preout to amp input. Then wire speaker outputs on amp to PG crossover then to tweet and mid. Nothing to it, just let us know if you need any help.
