question about 15's

Ok, im looking to upgrade. i have a single 12" L7 now.

Im want to go LOUDER but also get some SQ also, but louder is the main thing. I like lots of rock, but i like rap also. i use both about =. I was looking at 15's but i heard that 15 wont sound good with rock. if i dont do 2 15's i was looking at 3 12". Which would be better

Its going in a s-10 extended cab. Oh yeah and also i have a MA Hk 1397 (1600 watt)...yes i know i dont get a full 1600 but thats what i have to work with.

What im asking is should i go with 2 15" or 3 12"?

Also sudgestions on what subs with fit my Amp good?

Is the L7 ported ?

The 15's will definetly drop lower...louder....no idea

If you seal up those 15's in a smallish enclosure you will have enough cone to make the lows and enough punch for the rock.

15's can sound very good with rock in my experience.

what about in a ported box...i want more slp than sq...but im coming from a L7 so 2 round 15 ported would have about the same sq....right????

Also can anyone hlep me in coming up with a ported box to fit a s-10 extended cab for 2 15". i have never made a ported box by my self but i want to make my new box my self...
