Question: 2 10" or one 12" sundown?

So right now I am running two Kicker comp R's at 600w each at 4ohms on a Kicker cx1200.1 amp. I'm looking for some more bass with the amp that I have so once I find someone to buy these Comp R then i was looking into getting one 12inch x series sundown D2 which can handle 1250 watts. Will this switch suffice my needs for bigger better and more quality bass?

The quality will certainly be better, but it will probably not sound louder to you. You will be running the same power, but with less cone area.

I went from two cheap subs to one nicer sub while running the same amount of power, and I am disappointed with the outcome. The sound quality is better, the nicer sub gets a lot lower, and is just as loud as my old subs, but I lost my favorite part of my bass, which is being able to feel it.

Again, the single sub gets just as loud as my previous two sub setup, but it doesn't hit anywhere near as hard, and the bass at lower volumes isn't as good as with the two subs.

I am in the process of going back to 2 10s as I type this.

In my case, I went from 2 10s sealed on 600w RMS to 1 10 ported on 600w RMS, and the sealed pair of 10s moved so much more air than the single 10 does. I'm not talking about a ton of power here, but I loved being able to feel the music, and I just don't get that out of the single 10.
