Quality of components

Out of curiousity which components are of top quality? 0%, 5% or 10% tolerance? This can be capacitors, diodes, etc.

Apparently u haven't seen that new search engine called google??? But anyway I believe it is 0. If

I am correct the percentage represents how much efficiency it runs so 0% would be 100% efficiency

The tolerance is how close to specs they perform. IE: a 750 ohm resistor with 10% tolerance could really be anywhere between 675 to 825 ohms. The lower the tolerance the higher quality parts used and the more accurate the components.

Never seen or heard of 0 tolerance components. 1% is usually the max spec you'll see. To get anything beyond that, you're talking about hand matched components and just add a zero on the end of the pricetag.

the only zero tolerance i have seen was some that were cut by laser but yeah your right usually will always see 1 not 0 but he asked for the highest quality so technicly 0 would be

Even cut by laser there are tolerances. The steering mechanism for the laser has runout and perfection is impossible. You can get it REALLY close though.

I have to agree. Getting two things, especially electronics, to be the exact same is never going to perfect. It's just how things are.
