So I didnt know where to put this so I stuck it here. I sold my quad a few months ago to a guy who was bringing it to Australia. Sounded like a scam but he paid cash so no biggie. When I dropped it off the guy at the shipping house inspected it, gave me the cash and I left. Now 4 months later the guy from Australia is emailing me saying that the quad is trashed and I owe him 1000 in repairs. When it left if was perfect. He's threating saying he knows some "powerfull" people over here, and the guys where I dropped it off at are not so friendly. So, wtf should I do

Thats what im thinking now..

I told him look, its his inspectors word vs. mine, and to make it even better his inspector said they had a big weekend at pismo planned and that they were gonna take the bike..so now im really like wtf happened. I feel like im responsible for chit...

im just worried about the big and uglies he had at the shipping place. They seemed to know the guy personally the way there were talking about him. that or he does a lot of business with them

Honestly tho. Can't really prove anything. And doubt he knows where you live or your name. You should be aight. You'd hold up in court as there's no evidence. Just bring some pics of it before you sold it
i dont even have any pics of it really before i sold it, i mean who takes pics when they are offroading ya know

Id straight up tell the guy to fvck off. His inspectors said it was fine. He paid cash. Was the title signed off on? If so hes fvcked. He bought it in used condition. Anything bought in used condition as a vehicle (snowmobile, car, truck, quad, bike, what ever) is sold in as is condition. If there is no agreement he has no standing what so ever.

If the title wasnt signed off on then its still in your name and you can take him to court for his money and get your shit back.
