Sorry to mislead you guys a little, but I have a real quick question. I am building a box and need to buy one of the wire terminals that I can put in the back of the box. The woofer is a quad 2, so it has 8 little wires hanging off of the sub.

While my friend and I aren't going to install the sub, we need to know how many wires are coming out of the back.

Is it going to be 2 wires (1 terminal piece) or 4 wires (2 terminals)?

Thanks guys.

its an IA 20.1

The connections look like this:

You can wire the terminal(s) however you like. You can wire them in pairs internally which will give you some flexibility to change amps later to one that wants a different load or to biamp the sub without havingto take the sub out ofthe box. For that you would need two sets of terminals, one for each pair of coils. The other option is to wire all the coils to a single set of terminals and have a single +/- wire runninf to the amp. Either method will work the same. One just gives you more options.
