elaborate..... so yer saying a clipped signal within the subs power handling is good for a sub?!... i must say.. this requires some explanation.. i

He said it wont hurt it.

Example. I got a 500rms amp. With my Gains and bass boost wide open, it will not hurt a 1000rms sub. Point blank simple. Tried this myself.

Cant say much more than that.

I still doubt 800rms killed a Q. Clipped or not.

Mine never broke a sweat at ~1000rms.

Worst thing for it tho, having teh subsonic to low, and playing 20hz. That wasnt pretty nice on it. Which I believe is how alotta subs die.

mines running fine for the last 3 months ive had it, i put my T4000.1 on it for a day to break the suspension in, and its sounded great on the us amps its on now thats near rms.

Good enough that i've honestly thought about picking up a second one.

My brother and I strapped two Sundown 1500D on one 15" Q just to see what kind of beating it would take.

The Q took it for about 5-10 minutes until we decided we had abused it enough. Stunk a little, but I was totally amazed.

I normally ran mine on a 1200 or 1500 watt amplifier. Never have had a singe problem with the subwoofer.

Good to make that distinction, though, because people will misinterpret that to say that a Q can take a 3kW sine wave for 10-15 minutes.
