i have a class-d 1000w mono kenwood amp. the manual recommends 8ga or lower. i want to use 4ga.

is this wire kit any good?

Pyle 4 gauge, may be closer to 8 gauge. One place NOT to skimp on is the wiring. Use Knu or Kicker Hyperflex.

That amp is a piece of shit, the piece of shit wire will do fine for it.

The pyle kit is fine folks, he's only running one 500 watt 12". I've seen a lot less push a lot more. The Knu kits that Matt posted are nicer if you ever wanted to upgrade in the future.

.. Just showing him hat he can get a nicer kit from KnuKonceptz for a few dollars less and may not have to upgrade wire in the future if he upgraded to ~1k watts. But yes, I don't see why the Pyle kit wouldn't suit your needs.
