PXE-H650? Recent experiences?

I'm thinking of getting this for my wife's MINI when I put in an amp and some new speakers. I read older posts here and on Crutchfield. Its pretty spotty. Its great! It sucks!

Anyone with recent experience on this? I have the PXE-H100 in my car for my Alpine HU and when I used the mic to equalize the car acoustics it really fixed everything manual tuning couldn't... I'm hoping the H650 is similar.
