putting sub in backwards

what are the pros and cons of putting a sub in backwards( magnet out of box, sub pointing into box) and if done, does the positive and negative need reversed

well i have my M3 inverted and i love it. i guess it is all personal opinion

I tried to run my sub inverted and there almost no difference

pos and neg. do need to be reversed. I ran 2 12" L5s one inverted and one reg. and they preformed better this way because it was a single chamber i guess. I tried both inverted, both reg style and 1 inverted 1 reg. 1 inverted and 1 reg. was best for me, just try it out
