which subs would be louder?

2 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 or 2 10" Kicker L7

the box isn't yet build so it could be either a sealed or ported

i used to own a couple punch hx2's back in the day and never really liked them. just my 2 cents.

I had a pair of HX2's and really loved them... Maybe Tee didnt have the right box (//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)

But I would choose the HX2's if you have at least 1200real wRMS to give them.

i had 1 12 hx2 back in the day and it was loud. but my boy has 2 10 l7s in the back seat of a mustang and its REALLY loud

I really like the sound the HX'2s put out. But that one is a pretty close draw... I think the HX2's hit harder, but the L7's could put up some better numbers

I'd prolly go with the hx2s. If you did 12 l7 then I'd go square

L7's cuz you can get them under warranty. Hx2's are no longer in production, and will be more expensive/harder to get serviced.

If you decide to go with 12" punch HX2's I have some for sale in like new condition. I also just had a custom ported box designed/built by "MoeLester" for the HX2 I'm putting in my vette. I love the quality that goes into his products!

Like the others said, HX2's are very loud, but you better have some serious watts to back it up and correct air volume. I'm running a Diamond Audio D7401 (800x1) just to 1 HX2.
