Well the amp takes up to 4-gauge in, so use 4-gauge. Current is limited to the weakest link, so there really isn't a point to use a 2-gauge wire just to then convert/strip it down to 4-gauge.

The amp itself draws about 75 amps, and Rockford recommends that you run an 80 amp fuse for your average street car. They recommand up to 150 if you are going competition though.

So basically, use an 80 amp fuse and run 4-gauge.
