pulsating amp

i just got a new amp and i got it all hooked up right and it was working fine....then all the sudden the sub stopped "bumpin" and it started pulsating like a heartbeat faster and faster...the amp switches on and off from saftey mode...WHY!?!?!?!

check your gains, bass bost, crossover, grounding piont and if none of that works check the impedance your subs are showing to your amp. it may be too low and sending it into protection mode. hope this helps!
