By the way, I would say sony makes the best lcd and plasmas. Samsung is probably the best deal! I would say its the second best. Great picture but the sound isn't as good as sonys. When I was shopping around I did alot of research, I was looking at a samsung and my sony bravia. After playing with the volumes I went with the sony. It cost more but was worth it in my opinion.

First of all 720P isn't the same as 1080I (Also 1080P isn't the best picture) (For TV's yes for now.)

720P is 720 lines as 1080I is two sets of 540 lines... hence the I (Interlaced)

Another thing Sony doesn't make plasmas.

1080p regardless games that say 1080p on ps3 are usually in 720p anyways. For a true hd gaming experience get a 1080p lcd and a xbox 360. On the other hand if you are gonna watch blurays then the ps3 is the best deal. I bought a 360 for gaming and a ps3 strictly for blu ray.

Plus I don't have to pay extra money to be a member of live, I just aquire a program run it on my computer and bam Netflix, Hulu, ESPN, etc on my PS3.

As far as I know, Sony doesn't currently make a consumer Plasma display. Not sure why they make a commercial one either.

Just a side note. I prefer Runco or Pioneer Elite TVs over Sony's. And I like the sony's.

i work at best buy and i was debating the same tv's and now i have the samsung 720 plasma w/ my 360..looks great

you made a good choice with the 1080p, mainly because of the blu-ray..sd cable will look like ass but, f* that, who watches sd anymore..lol

sd cable FTL! after watching some hd channels i can't even watch the regular channels anymore.
