PS2 Hard Drive Came In

I got a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120GB, 7200RPM, 8MB Cache, Ultra ATA100 hard drive. Here's a link of the info ...

I also have the HD Advance software discs (CD & DVD) to trigger the PS2 to load the hard drive GUI.

unless youve got a patched copy of hdadvance you wont be able to blay dvd-9 games like gt4.

but you can patch it pretty easy.

only thing that sucks about doing that, is you can't play game's on the net can you? like for madden and such. biggest downfall to the ps2 slim is no adding of a hard drive.

The new slim PS2 can use a USB hard drive and the USB Extreme software to load games to the hard drive. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The only downfall is that the hard drive has to be connected to the PC to do so.

The new slim PS2 can also use a IDE hard drive with the addition of a IDE to USB special connector but it changes the appearance of the slim PS2 because the cables stick out through the back. lol.

The only thing that I like about the slim PS2 is that ability to play burnt CD's and DVD's. My old fat PS2 will have to be modified with a simple chip to do that. word to the wise, GT4 does not work with the HD unles you have the new image file out that groups have cracked.

As far as the GT4, it does work but you have to follow the tutorial to the T, there is no room for error. It does work and it was very time consuming. I already have it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I just searched for a tutorial for flattening Dual Layer DVD's to Single and then once I made an ISO, I transferred it with my FTP program to my PS2.
