The new slim PS2 can use a USB hard drive and the USB Extreme software to load games to the hard drive. The only downfall is that the hard drive has to be connected to the PC to do so. The new slim PS2 can also use a IDE hard drive with the addition of a IDE to USB special connector but it changes the appearance of the slim PS2 because the cables stick out through the back. lol. The only thing that I like about the slim PS2 is that ability to play burnt CD's and DVD's. My old fat PS2 will have to be modified with a simple chip to do that. I'll probably add that later since I also bought a DVD burner.
