protection mode..

i went out side and started messin with my gain and it sounded a whole lot better turnin the gain to max but when i turn up the volume on my headunit the sub stops and the amp goes into proection mode anything i can do to prevent this??

besides turnin the volume really low

i just need a new amp?

i mean prevent this from happenin untill i get a new amp here in a week or less

ya maxing yur gain prolly isnt good for the woofer and amp.
