PROTECTION MODE 4 a moment when i start car

Quick question. eveytime i start my car the amp or turn the radio on the amp is in protection mode for a few moments (like 20 to 30 seconds) then it turns on.. should i be worried, and how can i fixx this?

I've had quite a few amps do this, just never that long. It could be when you start the car the voltage drops too low and puts the amp into protect, then after the alt runs for a sec you reach regular voltage

all the amps i ever owned had some time up turn on time. normally a flashing light or protect and power light. you could always pull out the dmm and see if its dropping the badley.
