as most sub boxes are made, but many or most of them are not protected, being in the trunk against accidental mishaps, like jl audio boxes come with bars across, how do you guys protectyours or you don't, well i would like to make some bars like the jl audio boxes, but have no idea what they are made from, so any feedback on that from any of you diy guys? thanks,

I have the Kicker grills and they're really ugly, so I think I'm going to return them for the black bar style at PE.

The bad thing about those is that they charge you $10 to ship it so you'll be spending close to $20... but at the same note I can't say it'd really be cheaper anywhere else.

I also bought some waffle grills for $5 (they are the same as the Crutchfield ones), but they don't have enough clearance for the 15.5cm Xmax of the Assassin's.

just build your own out of mdf and paint them. make them like the soundstream ones but witht he logo of you sub in the middle.

all you do is cut 8 curved peices out of mdf. so each piece comes up and curves over the speaker. then cut out the logo and glue it all together. then sand and paint. looks nice.
