just wondering if an 800w pioneer monoblock amp would be sufficient to power a kicker l5 10 inch solobaric that is 900w max and 450 rms, just wanting to make sure that i am not going to under power it so that it would damage it

yea its the 2 ohm the only reason i was going to go with the 800w for one single 10 inch is because i need a little more bass in my car and i can get the 800w for cheap from a friend

i also have a choice of using a power acoustik TS620-2 620w that i already have and wouldnt have to pay any extra for, but the only issue is that they are both the same rms but the pioneer has a higher max rating im not really sure what to do sort of on a very tight budget

max rating is when lightning hits your amp and it might put the max rating out... when your looking at equiptment ignore all the "max" ratings they are a sales hype
