Proper etiquette

What is the proper etiquette when selling things on forums. If 2 people say they want to buy something from me how long should I wait for a confirmation/payment from the 1st guy before selling it to the 2nd. Should I just sell it to the first person who pays me.

Someone please elighten me

The first person to pay you usually gets the sale, unless the first person to "call dibs" on it told you to hold it for them while they get the cash together. IMO, the longest I would wait is 3 days tops. In the mean time, always keep good contact with the first person to see their status on how long until they get the money.

in my book, who ever offers the more amount of money. or let them both know that there are a couple other people that want to buy it, and first payment takes it.

Ok, cuz a guy offered me one price for my sub (but I couldn't tell if it was a serious inquiry) and I told him he could have it for his price + 4%...then I got a PM from the person who sold me the sub in the first place saying he would by it back from me. I would prefer to sell it to tha guy who sold it to me, but as long as I get adequate $$ for it I'm happy.

If you have not dedicated the sale to either individual then be fair and tell them both that they are not the only interested party and whoever sends you the $$$ first will be the one that gets it.

That's what I did when I sold an XXV-01D....there were tons of people saying they were interested in the For Sale thread I made for it and then PMs started pouring in. I went by what order the PMs came in and noone was angry about that. I dont do dibs shit, If you dont have money in hand you get it if someone else doesnt pay first. I dont agree to hold anything while someone gathers money. If I still have it when they have the money they can buy it if not they should have been quicker.
