Project: Taurus Log

I don't think I can remember all of them. Like on many HUs, there are RCA outputs; subwoofer, front, and rear channels. There are settings for each of these channels. Crossover functions for each of these channels, hi/lo; 50hz, 80hz, or 120hz. There are boosts for low, mid, and high that go from -6 to +6. Theres functions that I don't even know what they do, so I have some reading of the manual to do... I'll try and get pics posted of all the different settings.

Amp rack bondo'd:

I did just enough around the corners to be able to get a smooth finish, while still keeping the same shape.

Much sanding to come... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I'm about 3/4 done sanding with 60 grit on the amp rack, and about 2/3 done sanding with 60 grit on the flush panel.

I will be borrowing my bud's belt sander to make the flush panel as flat as possible.

All I did was put the tape on the trunk lid. I did two layers, one horizontal and one vertical. I didn't put anything on the trunk lid to make it come off easily (it comes off fairly well), but if you want, you can put Pam, or Crisco on the top of the paint, so the fiberglass will come off easily.

i had 3 12's in a taurus years ago.....and 2000 watts going to the box....and it was knocking

i miss that car

have fun with your taurus....oh yeah u can fit a 15 in there u know that rite

80

Actually, 80, I was thinking when I upgrade, to get 2 more of the Xtant 12"s (4 ohm SVC). I'll be buying a Directed1500d within a week, and 3 of them would put a 1 ohm load on that amp, giving all three subs ~ rated power.

I put an LED light in my dome light, and replaced 5 other bulbs in my car with green bulbs. I'm really pleased with the LED, not so much with the green bulbs.

I have some more green LEDs due in Friday or Saturday, so I'll update pics after I get those in.

You can check out the review of the store I bought them at, too:

the system is looking pretty good.

I'm curios, when you were done glassing the amp rack to the piece that was glassed to the shape of the trunk lid did you check to see if it still fitted against the trunk lid, like it should, the reason i ask, is because i had warping issues ones doing something similar.

if it does fit, did you do anything special to keep the back fiber glass piece from warping while glassing the amp rack to it?. how thick did you make that fiber glass piece that goes against the trunk lid?

Yes, actually the back did warp a little. I sanded it down and i'll be glassing over the hole that I sanded through. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif More work for me.

yea that sucks.

i had to redo my piese all over though,

the second time i did it, when i pull the piese off the car, i glass (2) 2x4 board to the back of it in like 3 small spots of the glass piece to keep it from warping, and it worked nicely, when done i just cut the 2x4 on these small spots and i was done.

more pics please.

lol
