I've gone 5 months now without a system and finally got the cash together to order everything. I'll be starting next Wednesday night. I'm gonna gut the interior and lay down 120SQ FT of V1SE2, 80SQ FT of V4, and 3 Gallons of V3.

Here's the ride:

Here's the equipment:

Breakdown of what I got:

HU: Pioneer 860MP

CD Changer: Pioneer 12Disc

Front Stage: DLS Iridium 6.2

Sub Stage: 2 eD 11Kv.2

AMP: DLS Ultimate A5

Wiring: KnuKonceptz and Tsunami

Check out my Car Domain page here for closeups of my equipment. Sorry for the crappy pics.

Stay tuned for progress pics.

Big shout out to TPLAYA07 for the excellent service. Got the DLS components and amp from him. Excellent to deal with!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Here's my amp rack. Just a simple piece of 3/4 inch MDF. The box in the lower right corner with the X in it needs to be cut out to make room for the seat mounting bracket for the 60/40 split. I plan on painting a layer or two of eDead V3 on the board, and than black paint over top of that. This way it'll look better than plain wood, and the eDead will help with vibrations on the amp and crossovers. I placed a few wires in there rightful locations for a visual aid of what it'll look like when it's all hooked up.

It's a good thing those ends screw off of the RCA cables or I would of had to drill a MUCH bigger hole. I litterally had to unscrew the ends of the last two and thread them through one at a time.

Got some progress made so far tonight. Completely gutted interior, and laid down some V3 on the roof, all the door panels, and all the trim panels.

I can't believe it only took 2 hours between me and my buddy to get the interior out. Took a lot longer to do the layer of V3 though. Drank a few beers, goofed around. All in all a very tedious experience so far. But I'm more than positive it will be worth the wait.

I'm glad to see you're doing the job right... Many such n00bs add sub and amp for their first upgrade, but pros work from the bottom up. You don't learn Calculus before you learn addition.
Well this will be my third system so far. The first two were 'ghetto' installs at best. Seeing as how this truck is brand new and doesn't even have 5000 miles on it yet, I'm doing it right.

Just another progress update:

Got a layer of V1SE2 on all the inner door panels. I also got a second coating of V3 on all the trim pieces and a 3rd coating on the roof. Wow what a difference in sound the doors make when you close them now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
