what do you mean 15V alternator switchable to 16V ?

do you mean that it comes with an external voltage regulator?

190 amp bosch alt modded by \Arnot Fransis with separate regulator and set to 15volts with 16volt switch too

If you're running a 12-14 volt system, you're going to want to charge the batteries at 16-17 volts anyway, get it.

Oh, and never charge with the system on.

honestly your best bet is to get an alternator from another vehicle is build custom brackets for it. That is what I am doing.

You will not find a high output alt for the PANDA.. well there is one place but it'll cost you quite a bit of money.

Also, plan on getting a battery charger. If you plan on being real competative, a charger is the way to go.

When I did Superstreet in DB Drag, none of my vehicles had an upgraded alternator (never got around to it).

I always charged the night before and if need be, charged at the event.

A charger wil be less expensive then an alternator.

Hey Speedlover, in your signature, you have "Super Street Max 1-2.

Those are 2 different classes.

Superstreet can have up to 4 amps per sub and unlimited batteries up to 18 volts.

Street Max can only have 1 battery.
