That sucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifI saw a 146-147 with music with gains not set right and volume not all the way up... light smoke came out of port and I called it a day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I need a link to a cheap/reliable o-scope so I can set this up right
Your gaining to base it off of the load that each individual amp is seeing.Lots more testing will be done when this problem is fixed....I've only used my TermLab for 10 minutes or so.
We guessed 78 volts... but everything is so ****ing confusing with the amps strapped.
How do you set the gains with strapped amps and what impedance so we set with, 2 ohms or 1?
He is doing the same with his 1 12 and on music? That sucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Definatly need to to a detailed inspection. Start from the front and work your way to the back scanning over everything.
Also, where is your peak and where is your song frequencies? Chevy is at that same score and going up with half the power and only 1 12" sub. Sounds like you need to do a shit load more testing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Turn the gain all the way up on the slave amp.Lots more testing will be done when this problem is fixed....I've only used my TermLab for 10 minutes or so.

Turn the gain all the way up on the slave amp.
On the master amp, start off with the gain ALL the way down. Turn it up until you hear clipping (then turn it down an 1/8 turn or so) or until you are comfortable with where it's at.
Thats the way I've always done it and never had any problems.
